WARDSVILLE - After playing just one game as the season nears the two-week mark, it took the Blair Oaks baseball team a little while to get going in their home opener.
Exactly one inning.
After going down 1-2-3 in the first, the Falcons exploded for four runs in the second inning and went on to win by run rule over the Versailles Tigers, taking a 10-0 decision in five innings at the Falcon Athletic Complex.
"We made the comment before the game that it feels good to be home," Blair Oaks coach Harv Antle said. "There's a different atmosphere, a different feeling about it.
"Then to come out and play better and get a win makes it that much better."
