Suspect No. 6 in Columbia death surrenders

JENNINGS, Mo. (AP) - The sixth suspect in last weekend's killing of a cousin of a Missouri football player has surrendered to police.

Columbia police say 24-year-old Anthony Carr turned himself in Friday in St. Charles. A warrant was issued for Carr on Tuesday for second-degree murder and second-degree robbery in the Oct. 23 shooting death.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that five other suspects have already been arrested in the death of 22-year-old Aaron Hobson while he was in Columbia to watch a cousin play in the Missouri-Oklahoma game.

Brothers Darris Peal and Daron Peal were taken into custody Wednesday near St. Louis on charges of second-degree murder and armed robbery. Three other men have also been charged with second-degree murder and second-degree robbery in the death.
