Shakespeare classic gets Dr. Seuss twist

It is "Romeo and Juliet" with a twist of Dr. Seuss.

Calvary Lutheran High School's annual fall drama club performance is a comedy in one act by Peter Bloedel. "The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet" will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday at Langston Hughes Theater inside Martin Luther King Jr. Hall on the Jefferson City campus of Lincoln University.

Dan Deardoff, drama club adviser and director of the play, said the show is sure to be fun for family members of all ages.

"It is "Romeo and Juliet' with Dr. Seuss humor," he said.

Tickets, which are $5 for adults and $3 for children, will be available for purchase at the door.
