Man gets probation for 2 votes in same election

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis man who admits voting in both Missouri and Illinois during the November 2008 general election will spend the next two years on probation.

A federal judge in St. Louis sentenced 34-year-old Tarrell Campbell on Wednesday on one felony count of voter fraud.

Campbell pleaded guilty in July.

Court records show that Campbell had long been registered to vote in St. Louis when he moved to nearby Edwardsville, Ill., in 2007, then registered to vote there.

Prosecutors said Campbell voted in Illinois as part of the state's early voting procedure in October 2008, then voted in St. Louis on Election Day.

Now as a convicted felon, Campbell no longer is eligible to vote.
