Joplin airport to add 2 flights to Dallas

JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) - For the first time in five years, travelers will be able to fly between Joplin and Dallas.

American Airlines executives announced Monday that it will offer two daily flights to Dallas from the Joplin Regional Airport, beginning Feb. 10.

KOAM reports that one-way tickets will be sold online for $140.

Joplin Mayor Mike Woolston says he hopes the airline will reconsider the price to help attract more travelers to Joplin.
