Kansas man killed while at MU to watch football

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- A Kansas man who went to Columbia to watch Missouri play Oklahoma has died in a robbery-related shooting.

Police identified the victim as 22-year-old Aaron Hobson. He graduated from Wichita Heights High School and most recently had lived in the Kansas City suburb of Mission.

A friend, Jamil Benjamin, told The Wichita Eagle that he had gone to Columbia with Hobson and another friend because Hobson's cousin, Trey Hobson, plays for Missouri. The friends wanted to watch Saturday night's game.

Instead, several people demanded money from Aaron Hobson around 1:15 a.m. Saturday at a convenience store, and one of the robbers shot him in the chest.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reported that two men have been arrested and police are looking for two other men they say were involved.
