Possible JCPS bus route changes still on horizon

Jefferson City Public School officials are preparing for transportation changes after the seven-member School Board approved bus routes that are little different from last year's.

The district is running 54 regular education routes and 6 1/2 special education routes, plus some special routes for special programs like the Helias/Samaritan Center Work Study at St. Mary's Health Center. But, Superintendent Brian Mitchell warned, this year may be the last for some of those extra transportation services.
