ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) - Meighan Simmons scored 14 points to lead a balanced Tennessee offense in the No. 4 Lady Volunteers' 82-44 victory over Missouri on Thursday night in the Paradise Jam.
Alicia Manning added a season-high 11 points, and Taber Spani and Kamiko Williams each had 10 for the Lady Vols (5-0), Tennessee scored 11 of the game's first 13 points.
Raeshara Brown had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Missouri (1-2), which missed six of its first seven shots and had 15 turnovers in the first half.
Tennessee led 43-24 at the half and ended any thoughts of an upset by scoring the first 10 points after the break.
The Lady Vols will face Georgia Tech on Friday, and Missouri will play No. 12 Georgetown.
No. 10 West Virginia 62, No. 21 TCU 49
ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) - Madina Ali had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead West Virginia to a win over TCU in the opening game of the Paradise Jam.
Liz Repella added 13 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for the Mountaineers (4-0).
Leading 33-29 early in the second half, West Virginia went on a 19-5 run over the next 6 minutes to take control of the game.
Helena Sverrisdottir scored 20 points and Emily Carter added 10 points for TCU (3-1), which couldn't get within 10 after the Mountaineers' run.
West Virginia will play Virginia on Friday while TCU faces Iowa State.
No. 12 Georgetown 67, Georgia Tech 58
ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) - Monica McNutt scored 24 points to help Georgetown beat Georgia Tech in the Paradise Jam.
Trailing by one at the half, Georgetown (4-0) scored the first four points of the second half to take a 43-39 lead. Georgia Tech tied it at 47 midway through the period before the Hoyas scored the next five points to take a 52-47 lead with 8:48 left.
Alex Montgomery's layup cut the Yellow Jackets' deficit to three at 55-52 with 5:40 left. McNutt then took over, scoring eight straight points, including two 3-pointers, to put the game out of reach.
Tyaunna Marshall scored 17 points and Montgomery added 14 for Georgia Tech (2-3). The Yellow Jackets will face No. 4 Tennessee on Friday. It's the third straight ranked team they've faced after losing to No. 1 Connecticut on Sunday.
No. 19 Iowa State 66, Virginia 48
ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP) - Kelsey Bolte scored 13 of her 15 points in the first half to help Iowa State beat Virginia in the Paradise Jam.
Hallie Christofferson added 11 points for the Cyclones (4-0), who used a 30-9 first-half run to blow open a close game.
With the game tied at 10, Iowa State took over to lead 40-19 at the half. The Cyclones hit 14 of their 21 shots (66 percent) in the first half.
The lead ballooned to 33 in the second half before Virginia chipped away to cut the deficit to 17 with 3:19 left. The Cavaliers would get no closer.
Ariana Moorer led Virginia (3-2) with 11 points.
The Cyclones will play TCU on Friday, while Virginia will face West Virginia.
No. 20 Iowa 67, James Madison 61
PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MEXICO (AP) - Kachine Alexander scored 18 points, and Kamille Wahlin added 10 points and 11 rebounds in Iowa's comeback victory over James Madison in the Cancun Challenge.
Trailing by 10 midway through the second half, Iowa (6-0) rallied. Alexander's layup with 2:32 left gave Iowa a 58-57 advantage - its first lead of the second half.
Dawn Evans answered with a basket and then tied it at 61 with 1:01 left.
Kelsey Cermak converted two free throws with 34.6 seconds left and Wahlin and Jaime Printy each hit two more in the final 25 seconds to seal the win.
Printy had 16 points, making all seven of her free throws for Iowa, which was 27 for 30 from the foul line.
Evans scored 32 points to lead James Madison (2-2).
The Hawkeyes will play Virginia Tech on Friday.
