While no action was taken Monday night by the Jefferson City Council on whether to place an increase of the city's lodging tax from three to seven cents before voters, the questions that need to be addressed became clearer.
The reason for delay is that the council would like to have more information on some of the details of the plan, which the conference center committee approved in October and for which the council hosted a work session last week to review.
Before the meeting, City Administrator Steve Rasmussen distributed a memo that outlined the different issues city staff are researching.
