Romall Pruett performs retrieves laundry as just one of the duties he performs at St. Mary's Health Center. Pruett, a student in the Jefferson City High School Vocational Internship Program at St. Mary's, recently received the Mission Exceptional Recognition for the month of October. The program provides an opportunity for students in special serves to gain experience in the working world. Jefferson City High School and St. Mary's have worked together for several years on the program, which requires a four hour work day at their various stations.

The vocational internship program provides an opportunity for students in special services to gain experience in the working world. The Jefferson City Public Schools and St. Mary's Health Center have worked together for several years on the program.

The students attend the hospital for the first three blocks of the day, putting in a four-hour workday at their various work stations.
