The vocational internship program provides an opportunity for students in special services to gain experience in the working world. The Jefferson City Public Schools and St. Mary's Health Center have worked together for several years on the program.
The students attend the hospital for the first three blocks of the day, putting in a four-hour workday at their various work stations.
