SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A former southwest Missouri postmaster has been sentenced to three years probation for taking postal funds.

Prosecutors says 64-year-old Donna Rippee of Republic was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Springfield. She was also ordered to pay $14,374 in restitution.

When she pleaded guilty Feb. 1, Rippee admitted that she used postal funds for her personal needs between Jan. 1, 2002, and Feb. 7, 2008.
