In observance of Thursday's Veterans Day holiday, most government offices - except for law enforcement, fire and emergency services - will be closed, including Missouri, Cole County and Jefferson City governments, and the State Archives.
Jefftran buses won't run.
The U.S. Postal Service will operate on its holiday schedule, with no normal route deliveries. Express Mail will be delivered as needed, and mailbox collections will follow the holiday schedule.
The Missouri River Regional Library in Cole and Osage counties, and the Heartland Library in Miller and Maries counties, will be closed.
But the Daniel Boone Regional Library in Boone and Callaway counties will remain open with the usual schedules.
Most financial institutions will be closed, but most retail businesses will remain open.
Lincoln University, the Jefferson City Public Schools and many other area schools will be open.
Allied Waste will operate on its normal schedule.
