The Missouri Tigers open the 2010-11 season tonight when they host Harris-Stowe State at Mizzou Arena.

The exhibition game is slated for a 7 p.m. start (Fox Sports Midwest-TV).

The Tigers enter the season ranked No. 15 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls. It's the first time the team has been ranked in the preseason since the 2003-2004 season.

Mike Anderson enters his fifth season as head coach of the Tigers. Missouri is 8-0 in exhibition games under Anderson, averaging 94.2 points in those games.

Harris-Stowe State is 1-0 this season, defeating Midland Lutheran College 65-47 on Oct. 30. Junior guard Terry Hollins led the NAIA member Hornets with 18 points, five assists and five steals.

"We know that Mizzou is a very wellcoached team that plays extremely hard and fast," Harris-Stowe State head coach Phillip Hunt said. "We must play confident and accept the challenge of playing a good team. That's all I could ask for."

Harris-Stowe State, located in St. Louis, was 16-16 last season.

This is the first of two exhibition games for Missouri, which will host Arkansas-Fort Smith on Nov. 12.
