CENTER, Mo. - Mark Twain ran over, around and through the Blair Oaks Falcons on its way to a 20-14 win in a Class 2 regional game on Wednesday night.
"Our defense has led us for the entire season," Blair Oaks coach Brad Drehle said. "Tonight, those guys were just more physical than we were."
Mark Twain didn't complete a pass in eight attempts, but was able to rush for 325 yards on 62 carries.
Blair Oaks, which ends the season at 8-3 and graduates 17 seniors, had its opportunities in the first half, but was stopped three times on fourth down and twice in Mark Twain territory.
