Mark Twain rides run game to win over Blair Oaks

CENTER, Mo. - Mark Twain ran over, around and through the Blair Oaks Falcons on its way to a 20-14 win in a Class 2 regional game on Wednesday night.

"Our defense has led us for the entire season," Blair Oaks coach Brad Drehle said. "Tonight, those guys were just more physical than we were."

Mark Twain didn't complete a pass in eight attempts, but was able to rush for 325 yards on 62 carries.

Blair Oaks, which ends the season at 8-3 and graduates 17 seniors, had its opportunities in the first half, but was stopped three times on fourth down and twice in Mark Twain territory.
