Returning to playoffs, Falcons look to stay awhile

WARDSVILLE, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Falcons are in the playoffs. And they hope to stay awhile.

"We set a goal to get here," Blair Oaks coach Brade Drehle said as the Falcons prepared to travel for today's 7 p.m. Class 2 regional game against Mark Twain. "We kind of slid in the backdoor to get there, but we're here.

Blair Oaks (8-2) is the district runner-up for the first time since the new playoff format was implemented in 2008.
