Teen accused of molesting girl, 12

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) - St. Charles County authorities are accusing a teenager of breaking in to a home and molesting a 12-year-old girl while she was in bed.

Eighteen-year-old Ryan Braswell is charged with burglary, sexual misconduct involving a child, and attempted child molestation.

Police allege that Braswell entered a St. Charles home through an unlocked door early Friday and eventually was found by an occupant inside the girl's bedroom, touching her while she was in bed.

Investigators say the intruder later fled on foot but was caught later.

Police say Braswell was on probation for a misdemeanor stealing charge.

A message left Monday at Braswell's home was not immediately returned. It was not clear if he has retained an attorney.

Bond was set at $75,000.
