SEDALIA, Mo. - Adam Luetkemeyer's goal with just under eight minutes remaining Monday night lifted the Jefferson City Jays to a 1-0 win over the Hickman Kewpies in the semifinals of the Class 3 District 9 soccer tournament.
With the win, the third-seeded Jays (15-7-1) advance to Wednesday night's championship game against top-seeded Rock Bridge (21-5). The Bruins blanked the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Tigers 2-0 in Monday night's first semifinal.
