KCI ranked top tweeter among large airports

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A company that monitors airports on social media and other customer service categories ranks Kansas City International No. 1 among large airports on Twitter interactions with customers.

The Kansas City Star reports Ontario, Canada-based Air Gate Solutions bestowed the ranking on KCI, which has 3,034 followers on Twitter. That's more than the airports in Baltimore, Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth and Las Vegas.

Airport spokesman Justin Meyer says the airport tweets with travel-related information every day.

The report says the San Diego airport had the most Twitter followers, but Kansas City had the highest ratio of tweets to travelers.
