No holes found in hull of Branson showboat

BRANSON, Mo. (AP) - The company that owns a southwest Missouri lake showboat that ran aground over the weekend says the vessel's hull appears to be intact.

Divers entered Table Rock Lake on Tuesday morning to inspect the bottom of the Branson Belle, which is owned by Silver Dollar City. KTTS reports the divers found no signs of holes in the boat.

Silver Dollar City spokeswoman Lisa Rau says pictures will now be sent to the Coast Guard, which must approve the engine and the hull before cruises can resume.

Rau says if the hull is fine but the engine is not, it's possible Branson Belle workers could do shows on the boat from the dock.

The Branson Belle ran aground in 4-foot waves on Saturday evening with more than 600 people on board.
