Jefferson City parks proposal awaits survey results

Consultant plans to call households for opinions on multipurpose building

One way or another, the Parks and Recreation Department is going to make sure it finds out what Jefferson City residents think about the idea of a new multipurpose building.

At Tuesday night's meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission, department director Bill Lockwood said the consultant hired to conduct the survey about the potential new facility, Ballard*King, will soon begin conducting phone surveys to get enough answers to supplement the 245 surveys they have already received.
