Hosier, 56, charged with last September's murders of Angie Gilpin and her estranged husband, Rodney Gilpin, in a hallway outside Angie's West High Street apartment.
Prosecutor Mark Richardson says he'll seek the death penalty if Hosier is convicted on the murder charges.
Joyce said most of the courts' extra costs comes in two areas: juries and marshals.
