Police: St. Louis shooting kills 1, wounds 6 others

ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis police say a 15-year-old boy was killed and six other people were critically wounded in a shooting.

Police say those wounded in the gunfire about 6:30 p.m. Friday included an 8-year-old boy who was shot in the face. The other survivors ranged in age from 17 to 40.

Police Lt. John Green says it's unclear what led to the shooting, noting that witnesses said there was no preceding argument. He says some witnesses weren't being cooperative.

Green says several people were outside a building sitting or standing on a porch or on the lawn when the gunfire began.

There was no immediate word early Saturday on any arrests or charges.
