Missouri slaying suspect says there was a suicide pact

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Court records say a Missouri woman charged in the killing of her boyfriend had made a suicide pact with him.

Thirty-eight-year-old Monique Estella Parra is jailed in Boone County on a second-degree murder charge in the death of 45-year-old Kevin Robert Hollins.

The Columbia Missourian (http://bit.ly/2gdduoD ) reports that Parra told investigators she had agreed to the suicide but didn't have any intention to follow through. The probable cause statement says the agreement wasn't put in writing.

Parra offered investigators two accounts of what happened Sunday. At one point, she said Hollins put a gun to his chin, grabbed her hand and the two argued before she pulled the trigger. She also said she was lying next to Hollins "when she saw him with a firearm and heard a pop."
