A Centertown woman was killed when she was hit by an Amtrak train while walking along train tracks Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred at 11:08 a.m., a quarter of a mile west of Route Z and Lookout Trail, according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports.
Kelly Stevens, 46, was walking eastbound in the middle of the tracks and was struck by the front of the Amtrak train.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
