The Cole County Extension Council announced in a Facebook post Saturday its 2020 Fall Festival has been canceled because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual event would have been held in September at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds.
"Ultimately, the council's main concern is to protect the safety of vendors, volunteers, staff and attendees," the announcement states. "Social distancing would be extremely difficult to maintain at this event. We hope to see everyone there next year!"
