CenturyLink outage affects Jefferson City customers

Some Jefferson City customers experienced disruptions to CenturyLink internet service Monday.

All services were restored at approximately 1:45 p.m., company representative Michael Baker told the News Tribune in an email.

"CenturyLink is committed to providing reliable services, and we apologize for any inconvenience experienced by our customers," Baker said.

The Jefferson City Police Department's non-emergency phone number (573-634-6400) was not functioning Monday as a result of the CenturyLink outage, according to a JCPD news release. The department can also be reached for non-emergency assistance by calling 573-634-6351. Emergency calls to 911 were not affected.
