A lightning strike caused a house fire Sunday morning in Cole County.
The fire was at a vacant home in the 4700 block of Missouri 179 around 10:36 a.m., according to reports from the Regional West Fire Protection District.
When the first firefighters arrived, flames were coming through the roof of the home.
Firefighters contained the fire to one room of the home, and the structure was saved.
No injuries were reported.
