Henley man gets probation in DWI case

A Henley man has been placed on two years unsupervised probation in connection with a two-vehicle crash in Cole County in October 2018.

Shane Robinett, 45, pleaded guilty during a Tuesday hearing before Cole County Associate Circuit Judge Cotton Walker to misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated, failing to drive on the right half of the road, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to register a motor vehicle.

As part of his probation, he must successfully complete DWI Court.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred on southbound Missouri 17, just south of Route BB.

Robinett went over the center line and struck a vehicle driven by Stacey Bailey, 47, of Jefferson City. Both vehicles went off the left side of the road. Robinett was treated for moderate injuries, while Bailey was treated for serious injuries.
