JC man arrested after Boone County crash

A Jefferson City man was arrested after a one-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Boone County.

Chad Kussman, 38, was arrested for driving while impaired, no seat belt, driving while suspended and failure to drive on the right half of the road.

The crash occurred at 1:17 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 70 at the off-ramp to U.S. 40.

Kussman, went off the road and struck a guardrail, traveled through a stop sign at the 40 and eastbound 70 off-ramp and struck a second guardrail. His vehicle finally came to a stop in the westbound land of I-70.

Kussman was not wearing a seat belt and was treated for minor injuries.
