This National Weather Service graphic indicates a tornado watch issued for parts of Missouri and Kansas Friday, May 24, 2019, until midnight.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch from now until midnight for parts of Mid-Missouri.

The watch area includes Boone, Callaway, Cole, Moniteau and Morgan counties. That includes the cities of Jefferson City, Columbia, Holts Summit, Fulton, California, Tipton, Versailles and Stover.

NWS reports severe storms are possible tonight with large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes posing a potential threat.
