Tornado Watch in effect for parts of Mid-Missouri until midnight

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch from now until midnight for parts of Mid-Missouri.

The watch area includes Boone, Callaway, Cole, Moniteau and Morgan counties. That includes the cities of Jefferson City, Columbia, Holts Summit, Fulton, California, Tipton, Versailles and Stover.

NWS reports severe storms are possible tonight with large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes posing a potential threat.
