Mid-Missouri road work May 20-24

The following is a listing of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the Mid-Missouri area through May 31.

Cole County

• Route C between U.S. 54 and Missouri 52 in Morgan County — Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continue. Milling work will take place between Jefferson City and Russellville this week. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Boone County

• Missouri 124 over Grindstone Creek, west of U.S. 63 — New bridge construction continues. Grading and excavation, clearing and new roadway construction will take place this week. The work is not expected to impact traffic. The project is scheduled for completion in December.

• Providence Road betweenInterstate 70 and Route K — Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations continues. Occasional lane closures are possible.

• College Avenue between Stadium Boulevard and Business Loop 70 — Signal upgrades, sidewalk repair and ADA improvements in various locations will begin May 28. Occasional lane closures are possible. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

• U.S. 63 between Missouri 763 and the Randolph County line — Pavement repair continues. Work at the Missouri 22 interchange continues this week. Periodic northbound and southbound lane closures are possible. Partial depth pavement repair will take place north of Missouri 763 this week. One lane will be closed in the work area. The work is scheduled for completion in November.

• College Avenue between Stadium Boulevard and Rollins Street — Pavement repair continues. Full depth pavement repair will take place between Stadium Boulevard and Business Loop 70 this week. One lane will be closed in the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

• Missouri 163 between routes H and K — Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continue. Shoulder widening between Route K and Tom Bass Road continues this week. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in November.

• Route N between Missouri 163 and Easley River Road — Chip sealing roadway pavement is scheduled to begin May 29. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route NN between U.S. 63 and Missouri 124 — Chip sealing roadway pavement is scheduled to begin Monday. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route WW between U.S. 63 and the Callaway County line — Chip sealing roadway pavement is scheduled to begin May 29. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route YY between Missouri 124 and Red Rock Road — Chip sealing roadway pavement is scheduled to begin Monday. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Callaway County

• Business 54 between the Route H and U.S. 54 interchange — Pavement improvements continues. Striping operations are scheduled this week. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route F between U.S. 54 and Route J — Chip sealing roadway pavement is scheduled to begin May 29. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route J between I-70 and U.S. 54 — Chip sealing roadway pavement is scheduled to begin May 29. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route O between Route D and State Street — Resurfacing, shoulder additions and ADA improvements continue. Grading operations will continue this week. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route BB over Auxvasse Creek, north of County Road 4004 — Bridge maintenance will take place Monday through May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route MM between Route J and County Road 389 — Chip sealing roadway pavement is scheduled to begin May 29. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route NN between Business 54 and County Road 435 — Chip sealing roadway pavement is scheduled to begin May 29. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Camden County

• Missouri 242 between U.S. 54 and the Miller County line — Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route MM between Missouri 242 and Route TT — Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route KK between Osage Beach Parkway and Turkey Bend Road — Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Business 54 between Missouri 242 and Route MM — Roadway resurfacing and shoulder widening continue. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• U.S. 54 between Route KK and East Valley Drive — Pavement improvement and J-turn installation continues. J-turn installation at the intersection of U.S. 54 and Route A has closed access to westbound U.S. 54 at the intersection. Traffic from Route A will need to use the Route Y interchange to access westbound U.S. 54. The project is scheduled for completion in August.

• Route J over the Little Niangua River north of Deer Meadow Road — New bridge construction continues. Occasional lane closures are possible this week. Crews will flag traffic. The project is scheduled for completion in October 2020.

Maries County

• Missouri 42 between U.S. 63 and Parkway Road — Drainage repair will take place May 28-31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• U.S. 63 between Missouri 42 and Tenth Street — Drainage repair will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• U.S. 63 between Missouri 68 and Interstate 44 in Phelps County — Grading, resurfacing, guardrail and rumble strip installation continues. Shoulder work and northbound acceleration lane construction continues at the intersection of Missouri 68. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Miller County

• U.S. 54 over Business 54 in Eldon — Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes is nearing completion. Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures are possible.

• U.S. 54 over Old Tuscumbia Road, east of Missouri 52 — Bridge rehabilitation in the eastbound and westbound lanes is nearing completion. Occasional eastbound and westbound lane closures are possible.

• Missouri 17 between Missouri 42 and 32 in Texas County — Microsurfacing is scheduled to begin next week. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic. The project is scheduled for completion in November.

Moniteau County

• Route E over North Moreau Creek, south of U.S. 50 — Bridge deck replacement is nearing completion. The road is closed during the work. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-June.

• Missouri 87 between U.S. 50 and Route J in Cooper County — Pavement patching will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route C between U.S. 54 in Cole County and Missouri 52 in Morgan County — Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. Milling work will take place between Jefferson City and Russellville this week. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route C between Route CC and Carney King Road — Pavement patching will take place May 28-30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Morgan County

• Missouri 5 between Missouri 52 and Troutdale Road — Rock cut cleaning will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Missouri 52 between Missouri 5 and Westview Drive — Ditch cleaning will take place Monday through Wednesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

• Route C between Missouri 52 and U.S. 54 in Cole County — Guardrail installation, milling and resurfacing continues. Milling work will take place between Jefferson City and Russellville this week. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic.

Osage County

• U.S. 63 at Missouri 133 — Intersection improvements will begin Monday. Surveying, clearing and grading operations will take place this week. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic. The project is scheduled for completion in November.
