Sheriff's office reports two arrests

AUXVASSE, Mo. - Callaway County deputies arrested an Auxvasse man late Wednesay on several charges.

Zachary Ray, 20, was charged with felony offenses of tampering with a motor vehicle and stealing, plus another misdemeanor stealing offense. He was placed in the Callaway County Jail on a court-set bond of $9,000.

The arrest is the result of two separate investigations conducted in the Auxvasse area by the Callaway Sheriff's Office during March 12-20 involving an area business and residence.

Also, on Friday at 3:11 a.m., Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies located Joann Sutton, 46, of Springfield in the 1200 block of State Road O in Fulton. Sutton was wanted reference a Missouri Department of Corrections - Probation Absconder (felony) warrant.

Late on Thursday at 11:41 PM, law enforcement authorities were notified Sutton had walked away from the MDOC Community Supervision Center at 1397 State Road O. Sutton was being held at the MDOC facility regarding past felony Dade County charges. Subsequently, state authorities issued an arrest warrant for Sutton.

Sutton is being held without bond in the Callaway County Jail and will be returned to the custody of MDOC.
