Dalton Dinwiddie, 24, of California, was charged Tuesday in Callaway County with felony stealing a motor vehicle and passing a bad check, according to a news release from the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.
He was arrested Monday and put in the county jail with a $6,000 bond.
These charges are related to a Callaway County Sheriff's Office investigation, initiated March 4, concerning the theft of a vehicle near Millersburg. Deputies determined the vehicle had been purchased using fraudulent means.
Dinwiddie and the stolen vehicle were located March 11 in Cole County. Cole County deputies recovered the vehicle, arrested Dinwiddie, and transferred him to the custody of Callaway County deputies.
