The MMTTPA Truck and Tractor Pull is back on this fall.

The event, sponsored by Eugene FFA Alumni and MMTTPA, is rescheduled for Sept. 20 at the Russellville Lions Club.

The event was canceled Friday because of predicted weather conditions, Eugene FFA adviser Ed Hager said.

Each year, the organization gathers more than 60 pullers to go to events.

"Years ago, it started out as a bunch of farmers getting together and seeing who has the best tractors," Hager said.

Now, members trick out tractors like "hot rods," he said.

"They've taken these old tractors and spent thousands of dollars. It's like NASCAR."

Gates at the Russellville Lions Club will open at 5 p.m. with the pull beginning at 7 p.m. Meals of hamburgers, jumbo hot dogs and bratwursts will be available for purchase.

Previous attendance has been 1,200-2,000 Hager said.

Tickets to the FFA fundraiser are $10 for adults. Ages 11-15 are $5 and youth 10 and under are free.
