A Jefferson City man has been charged in connection with illegal drug activity.
Bryce Vittetoe, 31, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement states Vittetoe was pulled over early Friday morning for an equipment violation at Missouri Boulevard and Delaware Street.
Vittetoe is on probation for narcotics-related charges and denied officers their request to search his vehicle. A K-9 unit was called and indicated there was drugs in the vehicle.
During the search, a loaded .38 special revolver was found under the passenger seat, and a hypodermic needle and several butane lighters were found in the back seat.
Officers also found Vittetoe possessed about $10,000 in cash, rolled in tight bundles with rubber bands.
Vittetoe has felony convictions for narcotics and resisting arrest.
