A former Dunkin' Donuts employee has pleaded guilty to breaking into the Jefferson City business in May.

Pamela Mack, 51, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree burglary during a hearing before Cole County Presiding Judge Patricia Joyce. She was placed on five years of supervised probation and ordered to pay $483 in restitution.

Mack had been fired from Dunkin' Donuts and told not to return to the business on Missouri Boulevard, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.

While it was closed, Mack drove to the business and checked the parking lot to see if anyone was there, according to the statement. She then went to the back door and manipulated it until it opened. She got inside and went to the manager's office. When she realized another employee was still there, she hid behind some cooling racks until the employee saw her.

Mack then accessed the manager's office using the key pad she had access to as an employee. She accessed the safe with a code she had while working at the business, stole $389 in cash, then left the store.

She later was questioned by authorities and admitted to breaking into the business and the manager's office and stealing the money. She said she had spent all but $5 of the amount when authorities found her.
