A Jefferson City man has been charged with stealing more than $3,200 in lottery tickets.

Kory Purinton, 20, is charged with one count of felony stealing while working at the Break Time on West Main Street.

A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement said employees called police to notify them that a fellow employee, Purinton, had reportedly been found to have taken several books of lottery tickets and left the store July 21. The employee also reported that thefts were recorded on the store’s video security system.

Officers located Purinton and he allegedly admitted to taking the tickets.
