Russellville Board of Aldermen approves 'no parking' signs

RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - The Russellville Board of Aldermen has approved the placement of "no parking" signs near the Russellville elementary and middle schools.

During the board's Monday meeting, Mayor Sharon Morgan said vehicles parked on the west side of Smith Street are disrupting school buses getting through at the end of the day.

"People park on both sides, and those buses could not get through," Morgan said.

Peoples Service has placed signs for no parking on this side from Smith Street to Route C.

Board members agreed street parking is an issue within city limits and they plan to address more at a later time.

In other business Monday, the board:

Certified the April 2 election results and welcomed Sharon Williams as East Ward alderwoman.

Reorganized and approved Matt Grayson as board president. Current members are Jarad Roark and Dana Frisby.
