Cole County Ambulance Chief Matt Lindewirth announced promotions this week to fill some key positions in the department.
David Boyles was named logistics battalion chief. He will handle procurement of ambulance department-related issues, such as fleet management, medical supplies and grants.
Maggie Bolden was named training battalion chief. She will handle staff professional development, training of outside agencies, medical protocols (with the medical director), and quality assurance and quality improvement.
Dack Spang was named operations battalion chief. He is a shift supervisor who will handle daily operations, scheduling, initial personnel issues, initial investigations and incident commands.
