Traffic around the tri-level intersection west of the Missouri River bridge in Jefferson City was impacted mid-day Thursday by a stalled tractor trailer.

Missouri Department of Transportation officials reported around 11:30 a.m. that members of the Jefferson City Police Department and Missouri Highway Patrol had shut down the westbound U.S. 54 ramp to eastbound U.S. 50 and the eastbound U.S. 54 ramp to westbound U.S. 50.

Around 12:15 p.m., authorities closed eastbound U.S. 50 to remove the stalled tractor-trailer. Shortly after 1 p.m. eastbound 50 was reopened but the previously closed ramps at the interchange remained shut down.

The remaining closures could last a few hours. No related injuries were reported.
