2 injured, arrested after Camden County crash

Two people were hurt in a one-vehicle crash Thursday night in Camden County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. on Chelsie Road at Wodhaven Circle.

Jimmy Grimes, 23, of Sunrise Beach, went off the left side of the road and overcorrected, causing his vehicle to return to the road. He then went off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. His vehicle overturned, causing the cab of his pick-up to separate from the frame of the vehicle.

Grimes was not wearing a seat belt; and neither was his passenger, David Hanson, 21, of Gravois Mills, who was ejected from the vehicle. Both men were treated for serious injuries.

Grimes was arrested for felony DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the road, and not wearing a seat belt.

Hanson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, not wearing a seat belt and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.
