Jefferson City family to accept Habitat for Humanity home tonight

The partnership between Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Financial will dedicate its 13th home this evening.

The community is invited as the Triplett family purchases their River City Habitat for Humanity home at 1608 Edmonds St.

The ceremony will begin with an open house at 5 p.m., followed by speakers and the family receiving keys to the home.

The partnership has resulted in the construction or repair of more than 4,300 homes across the United States since 2005. It has also led to more than 1,000 home-building trips taken internationally and domestically.

The Triplett family has put in 450 hours of sweat equity to help build the home and will repay the no-profit mortgage over the next 25 years.
