2 hurt in Missouri 94 crash near ABB in Jefferson City

Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Jefferson City.

Officers responded at 6:44 a.m. to the 500 block of Missouri 94, where they found a vehicle driven by Zachary Fewins 26, of Holts Summit, was going west and crossed the center line, crashing head-on with an eastbound vehicle driven by Larry Rockers, 42, of Jefferson City, according to police reports.

Fewins, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from his vehicle after it crashed and prior to it rolling on to its side. He was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

Rockers also was not wearing a seat belt and had to be extricated from his vehicle by the Jefferson City Fire Department. He was transported by ambulance to University Hospital.
