Several injured in Moniteau County wreck

The collision of two SUVs in Moniteau County on Wednesday injuring five people.

The crash occurred at 11:23 a.m. on Missouri 5, about a half-mile north of Hartmann Road.

A northbound 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Tabitha A. Patterson, 30, of Rocky Mount, struck the rear of a slow moving 2004 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Patrick K. Dubois, 64, of Tipton.

Patterson and an adult passenger in the Tahoe — John D. Wixom, 37, of Rocky Mount — were not wearing seatbelts, and both were seriously injured.

Two children in the Tahoe with them — an 8-year-old and a 12-year-old — were wearing seatbelts, and were moderately injured.

All four people in the Tahoe were taken by Mid-MO EMS to St. Mary’s Hospital.

Dubois was treated at the scene for minor injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

• A 15-year-old from Jefferson City was treated at St. Mary’s Hospital for minor injuries after a rollover crash Wednesday morning in Cole County.

The 15-year-old driver of a 2006 Pontiac G6 was westbound on Route M, near Roling Road, at 7:05 a.m. when the car went off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected, drove off the right side of the road, struck the ground and overturned.
