Officials at Helias Catholic High School are moving today's graduation ceremonies indoors due to the threat of inclement weather.
Because of limited seating, attendees to the event now moved to Rackers Fieldhouse must bring tickets which were assigned earlier to graduating students in order to get in.
The event had been scheduled to take place, weather permitting, for the first time ever in the new Ray Hentges Stadium at Crusader Athletic Complex. However, school officials were monitoring the weather forecast this morning and made an announcement at 8 a.m.
"Due to the threat of storms and rain throughout the day, we are moving Graduation indoors to Rackers Fieldhouse at 2 p.m.," the announcement on the Helias Facebook page stated. "We know this is disappointing to everyone and apologize for any inconvenience. Please bring the 6 tickets given to your Senior, as seating is limited. We know regardless of the venue, Graduation will be a joyous celebration. Thank you for your patience and understanding."
