The Cole County Sheriff's Office confiscated multiple firearms, thousands of dollars and a lot of marijuana Tuesday.

Agents of the Mustang Drug Task Force and Cole County Sheriff's deputies served two narcotics search warrants at about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 2300 block of Schott Road.

"As a result, roughly 14 pounds of marijuana, nearly $14,000 in cash, four firearms, a ballistic vest and a substantial amount of marijuana derivatives were seized," according to a news release from Sheriff John Wheeler.

A picture included with the news release appeared to show the firearms were a shotgun, two small pistols and some kind of semi-automatic rifle in the style of a Kalashnikov, with four banana-shaped ammunition clips to go with the rifle.

A 20-year-old man and 33-year-old man were taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance, but online court records showed neither man had been charged as of 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The investigation is ongoing.
