An Ashland woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash Monday in Boone County.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred at around 4:15 p.m. on southbound U.S. 63 at Bonne Femme Creek.
Kayla Sage, 15, of Ashland, went off the right side of 63, struck an embankment and her vehicle went airborne. The vehicle came to rest on its top at the bottom of the creek.
Kayla's mother, Jessica Sage, 50, of Ashland, was a passenger and was pronounced dead at the scene. Kayla was treated for moderate injuries. They were both wearing seat belts.
