Miller County human remains identified

Human remains found last month in Miller County have been identified as a man from the state of California.

The remains were identified as Tyler Worthington, 34, Miller County Sheriff Louie Gregoire said Thursday.

Authorities found Worthington's remains June 11 in a rural part of the county and determined he had been murdered.

The investigation into his death is ongoing, and more than 60 leads are being followed by sheriff's office and the Missouri Highway Patrol's Division of Crime and Drug Control. Worthington was found to have been entered into the national missing persons database.

Gregoire said in a news release they are looking for a vehicle they believe Worthington was driving while he was in Missouri. It's described as a white 2018 Toyota Corolla with Illinois registration AW70304.
