Meta man arrested in drug bust

A Meta man was taken into custody after a recent drug operation in Osage County.

Sheriff's department reports show David Borgmeyer, 41, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon. In addition to a gun, authorities seized 3 grams of methamphetamines from Borgmeyer.

This operation was the result of the combined effort of the sheriff"s office, Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and Mustang Drug Task Force.

"I'd say 80 percent of the people that we deal with on the street, if they have drugs, they're going to have meth," Osage County Sheriff Mike Bonham said.

The investigation continues and charges are expected on other individuals in conjunction with this operation.
