Jefferson City man charged with habitual DWI

A Jefferson City man has been charged with habitual DWI.

Eric Bader, 34, was pulled over Monday night at Missouri Boulevard and West Main Street and was found to be driving drunk, according to court records. He was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of West Main Street.

Bader has multiple previous alcohol convictions: 2003-07 in Arkansas, 2005 in Kennett and 2009 in Oklahoma. He also has two convictions for assault with a vehicle while intoxicated from Kennett and was found to have been arrested in Jefferson City in January 2008 for driving drunk.

Because he is a habitual offender, Bader, if convicted, would not be eligible for parole until 85 percent of his sentence was served, and he would be required to serve a minimum of two years in prison before being eligible for probation or parole, according the charging document in this case.
